Do federal employees receive disability coverage? I'm curious to know if there are specific disability insurance benefits for federal government employees.

Federal employees are covered by the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) program, which includes Basic life insurance, Option A (Standard Optional) life insurance, Option B (Additional Optional) life insurance, and Option C (Family Optional) life insurance. In addition to life insurance, federal employees are also covered by the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA), which provides disability compensation for work-related injuries or occupational diseases. The Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) administers FECA, and it provides wage replacement benefits, medical treatment, vocational rehabilitation, and other benefits to federal employees who are injured or become ill as a result of their federal employment. Federal employees do have disability coverage through the FECA program, which is an important benefit for ensuring financial protection in the event of work-related injuries or illnesses.
